I find people get so worried about never having had professional photographs taken before, but it's never made one slight of difference to me as the photographer. It's always the in-between moments, just hanging out and being yourself, that I think the most beauty is found anyway. I say throughout a wedding day a lot, "Don't look at me! Pretend I'm not here!" because nothing takes away a moment faster than being too camera aware!
I already knew I was going to love this day. Logan and Carissa were those nervous first-timers when we met for their engagement session just a few months prior. As uncomfortable as the camera might have made them at first, they were nice and warmed up to each other from the start, and that's all I need. Hudson Farm in Urbana set the stage perfectly for this southern hearted belle and her rock and roll star. The weather was breezy and cool, with a beautiful clear sky. Exactly what you'd hope and pray for in an early October Saturday. They exchanged their I-do's in the barn and then moved to the shed for a delicious reception featuring Applewood Catering. Some of my top favorite moments from the day were... -The heart sewn into Carissa's dress, which was a piece of her mom's dress. -Logan's face, seeing his bride come down the aisle to him. -The *RAP* toast given to the tune of Fresh Prince. It was a day no one in attendance will ever forget! I won't go on, because you know what they say about a photograph and a thousand words and all. They might as well just speak for themselves.
