Korie + Breanna | Wedding
A little rain on your wedding day can't hurt when you're getting married out at a beautiful venue like The Dragonfly at Sleepycreek! Although we all had high hopes for clear skies, the forecast predicted 100% through the entire day! It's a potential recipe for disaster in some cases, but Breanna handled it like a champ with an "it is what it is" attitude, embracing all the good luck charms that a rainy wedding day is supposed to bring you! With a little rearranging, the hall

Rob + Halley | Wedding
A day worth celebrating, August 18th, Rob & Halley became husband and wife!
An adventure from start to finish! It's funny how many places come up that I've never been, even in my own hometown. This was my first visit to Second Church of Christ. It was super nice being able to just jog from one end of the building to the other to visit the guys getting ready and the gals doing hair and makeup at the other end!
We found some beautiful pockets of light throughout the day, wh

Jake + Kirstyn | Wedding
July 21st. I had the opportunity to adventure down some new roads. To a town and a wedding venue I have never been to before.
I showed up a little early, (I'm always overestimating travel times, to be sure!) but almost made myself late circling the venue over and over again. My GPS said I had arrived, but I couldn't find it. Finally, I spied someone sitting in their vehicle with the window down. So like a total creeper I got out and asked them if they knew where Spruce Stre

Caleb + Paige | Wedding
June Twenty-Third. A beautiful day for a wedding out at Hudson Farm in Champaign, Illinois. But seriously, when is it not a beautiful day for a wedding out there? I love this venue!
Working with Caleb and Paige was such a breeze from start to finish. Paige (and her awesome mom!) were very organized and on top of everything through the planning, and the wedding day was refreshingly relaxed! I was very excited to see their beautiful pale blue, navy and champagne color palett

Joe + Natalie | Wedding
We're quickly approaching on four weeks since the celebration of these two lovebirds getting hitched! Isn't that crazy?! In this season of life I feel like time is rushing past me like a whirlwind.
Joe and Natalie could not have asked for a prettier April day! (Though, we wouldn't have said no to a cloud or two during portrait time!) But there was a beaming sunshine in the sky and in the hearts of all the people who had the privilege to witness this special union!
I could

Tyler + Haley | Wedding
March 24th, 2018. What we all hoped would be a budding spring day, maybe crossing our fingers for no early April showers, turned out to be one of the biggest snow days of the year. I know it seems cliche to talk about the weather... but it's an important aspect of the day! Since my favorite source of light is nature, the weather is pretty high up on the list of factors I'm considering on any given shoot day!
Getting to know Tyler and Haley through our consultations and th

Styled Shoot at Sleepycreek Winery
It all started for me with a sweet message in my Instagram inbox. Rebecca, a lovely florist who I shared two brides with during the 2017 wedding season, asked if I would be interested in participating in a styled shoot she had been brainstorming about. Was I ever! We exchanged numbers and the rest is text history! We found other local vendors who were also interested in this fun endeavor and the day after Valentine's Day, everything came together. And GOSH, was it beautifu

Logan + Carissa | Wedding
I find people get so worried about never having had professional photographs taken before, but it's never made one slight of difference to me as the photographer. It's always the in-between moments, just hanging out and being yourself, that I think the most beauty is found anyway. I say throughout a wedding day a lot, "Don't look at me! Pretend I'm not here!" because nothing takes away a moment faster than being too camera aware! I already knew I was going to love this day.

Matt & Mindi | Wedding
As I sit here trying to think of some descriptive words to tell you about Matt & Mindi's wedding day, a few come to mind...
Hot.
Really Hot.
Are you sure this was the end of September, because it was SO hot.
I'm only kind of kidding.
While they were definitely blessed with an unseasonably warm day, it was also unbelievably lovely! This was my first time shooting out at the Timber Creek Bed & Breakfast and as I was coming down the winding gravel pathway I was like, *in
