Styled Shoot at Sleepycreek Winery

It all started for me with a sweet message in my Instagram inbox. Rebecca, a lovely florist who I shared two brides with during the 2017 wedding season, asked if I would be interested in participating in a styled shoot she had been brainstorming about. Was I ever! We exchanged numbers and the rest is text history! We found other local vendors who were also interested in this fun endeavor and the day after Valentine's Day, everything came together. And GOSH, was it beautiful! Obviously, Rebecca slayed the floral game. She built this gorgeous greenery and fabric archway from scratch (And got a few scratches along the way! Putting those things together is no joke!) and brought in these boxes just bursting with the prettiest blooms. It helps you forget this was the middle of February and completely blegh outside! That bridal bouquet was a true work of art! Find her at The Olive Branch Flower Art & Events on Facebook! I happened to speak with Janette, the owner of Sleepycreek Winery one day, over a social media post mistake actually! Oops! She called me up and was so kind and even offered to pass out some of my business cards if I dropped some by! I ended up getting to work a wedding out at their new event space, The Dragonfly, and met her in person! When Rebecca and I were going over location ideas, I had to bring Janette up because their new venue at the winery is so lovely. They were spectacular hosts. All of the furniture pieces in the photographs are her gorgeous vintage finds that she's decorated the venue with. Keep your eye out for that plush settee, whaaat. You can find them online at www.Sleepycreekvineyards.com! How excited are you to have Red Door Cakes as part of Downtown Danville? Have you been?! I have multiple times now! Not sure if it's blessing or a curse that they are located crazy close to my house. Their Italian Cream Cake is hands down my faaavorite. It's not only delicious, but sentimental for me, as it was my wedding cake made by April 8 years ago. I always want to try something new when I visit, but I've ordered the ITC at least three times anyway. So glad to have them on board for the shoot. YUM! Find them on Facebook at Red Door Cakes! I met Lauren who owns Ivory Aisle the day of the shoot. She brought so many amazing pieces and laid out both tables and the dessert table so beautifully! Having gorgeous things to take photos of makes me completely giddy. How could I not love my job in these moments?! Find Lauren and her pretties at www.ivoryaisle.com! We also had glassware from 1350 North Vintage! You can find their shop on Etsy! And this gold flatware you will see in a minute came from Once in a Blue Moon, check them out on Facebook! Studio 31 provided hair and makeup for our model bride, and just look at her in these photos! So flawless! They did an amazing job. Seek them out for your next hair or makeup appointment at www.studio31salonspa.com. PS, they also do massages. Yeeeeeees. You're welcome. Lastly, huge shout out to our models, Andrew and Elizabeth! Who really were not "models" in the technical sense, but just a newlywed couple in-love. Which worked perfectly for me, because that's exactly what I'm used to. They were so kind, so patient and so photogenic! Thanks so much, you two.

On to the photos!!! XO
